Total Visa Suggest
Yes, we suggest the Total Visa. It will report to all three major bureaus and is a great way to re-establish your credit history.
The only drawback is the high 19.92% APR. However recently we have seen even good credit cards raising their interest rates to this level and even higher.
Unfortunately the Total Visa card is no longer offered. It was withdrawn from the market for either of two reasons.
The first that the plains commerce bank is merging with one of the major banks and the other more likely reason is the new bad credit lending laws.
Congress passed new lending laws that focused on credit cards for bad credit and capped the fees and interest rates. This has completely eliminated unsecured offers if you have a less than perfect credit rating.
It also caused the emergence of prepaid cards and secured cards have become much more popular.
We would suggest you get a secured credit card if your number one priority is building credit. However this card will require you to put a security deposit down before you are issued your card.
And you are guaranteed approval and your card will report monthly to all three major bureaus.
